Empty Leg
When our vehicles have to travel empty between SFO and Sonoma County, you can ride that leg for up to half the regular fare. This page explains exactly what an Empty Leg is — and how it differs from booking a private ride, so there are no surprises.
What is an Empty Leg?
When a chauffeur drives a client one way, the vehicle usually has to come back with nobody in it. That empty return trip is the “empty leg.” Instead of driving it empty, we offer that leg to another traveler whose trip matches it — at up to 50% off the regular fare. The discount exists because the trip is already happening, not because the service is any less.
How it happens
Our chauffeur drives a client from Healdsburg to SFO early in the morning. The vehicle then has to return to Sonoma County empty. If you need a ride from SFO to Santa Rosa around that same time, that return trip is an Empty Leg — and you can book it for up to half the regular fare.
Available Empty Legs
These are actual empty trips created by rides already booked with us. This live board reads our schedule around the clock and refreshes on its own — no need to reload the page. Each leg is offered first come, first served, and shows its scheduled departure time with a live countdown to its booking deadline.
Book at least 3 hours before the car departs. Every Empty Leg has a booking deadline 3 hours before its departure time — once the countdown on a leg reaches zero, that leg can no longer be booked, so the chauffeur can be ready and on the road on time.
We’re reading the latest schedule. If a leg is open right now, it will appear here in a moment.
Don’t see your date? More legs are added as new trips come in — email us your travel date and route at ride@pr707.com, and we’ll watch our schedule for a match.
How it works
A client books a one-way private ride — for example, Sonoma County to SFO. The vehicle’s trip back runs empty, and that empty trip becomes available as an Empty Leg.
Check the Available Empty Legs list above, or email us your date, pickup, destination, passenger count, and luggage. Every match is confirmed by a real person against our live schedule.
If your trip lines up with an empty leg already on our schedule, we confirm it and quote your discounted fare. If nothing matches, we’ll tell you — and you can still book the same ride at the regular fare.
Same vehicle, same professional chauffeur, same door-to-door service with luggage help as a full-price ride — for up to 50% less, because our vehicle was making that trip anyway.
Please don’t confuse the two
Both services put you in a private vehicle with a professional chauffeur. What changes is who sets the schedule — and that is exactly what the discount pays for. If you need a specific time, route, or guaranteed availability, book a private ride. If your plans can flex to a trip already on our calendar, an Empty Leg saves you up to half.

Popular Empty Leg routes
Good to know: Empty Leg fares are one-way, depend on trips already on our schedule, and are offered first come, first served — availability changes as new rides are booked. Pickup times follow the scheduled leg and allow only a small window of flexibility; if you need an exact time, a private ride is the right choice. Nearby Sonoma County communities beyond Santa Rosa and Healdsburg may also qualify; just ask.
